چکیده
Abstract The study investigates the phenomenon of wave diffraction by multiple poroelastic plates in infinitely deep water using two-dimensional linearized potential theory. focuses on numerically computing reflection and transmission coefficients Galerkin approximations specifically designed for two nonidentical vertical plates. By varying separation lengths, porosity, flexural rigidity plates, explores hydrodynamic quantities associated with wave-plate interaction. These are then represented graphically to visualize their behavior under different conditions. results show that porous has a significant effect transmission. correctness method used is confirmed comparing available literature. Overall, provides valuable insights into waves interacting highlights importance considering such systems. numerical approach can also be applied other similar problems provide useful tool predicting complex

Hydroelastic wave diffraction by a vertical cylinder.
A linear three-dimensional problem of hydroelastic wave diffraction by a bottom-mounted circular cylinder is analysed. The fluid is of finite depth and is covered by an ice sheet, which is clamped to the cylinder surface. The ice stretches from the cylinder to infinity in all lateral directions. The hydroelastic behaviour of the ice sheet is described by linear elastic plate theory, and the flu...
متن کاملHydroelastic analysis of plates and some approximations
The paper concerns the modelling of very large pontoon-type floating structures by thin beams and plates of shallow draft, excited by regular waves. It is shown how the classical theory of hydroelasticity, involving the concepts of added mass and damping associated with the structural responses, may be reconciled with more recent formulations. In the latter, coupled equations for displacement a...
متن کاملVibration and Static Analysis of Functionally Graded Porous Plates
This research deals with free vibration and static bending of a simply supported functionally graded (FG) plate with the porosity effect. Material properties of the plate which are related to its change are position-dependent. Governing equations of the FG plate are obtained by using the Hamilton’s principle within first-order shear deformation plate theory. In solving the problem, the Navier s...

متن کاملDiffraction of flexural waves by cracks in orthotropic thin elastic plates. Part II. Far field analysis
The scattered field arising from diffraction of a plane flexural wave by a semi-infinite crack in an orthotropic Kirchhoff thin plate is analysed. The crack is aligned with a principal direction of the material, so that two of the plate’s three planes of symmetry are preserved. An asymptotic approximation is derived via the method of steepest descents, and explicit expressions are given for the...
